More Modeling and Texturing

Still experimenting with textures. The texture placed on the landscape was made up of multiple images in Photoshop. Unfortunately the grass looks huge! I was really hoping to find a way to manually paint textures onto the landscape, but have yet to find a way. I'll need to tinker around with it some more. I also began making some simple trees that will be textured as well.

Final Project Outpost Model

Here's some images of my final project. Working on a lot of different elements that will later be textured with simple bump mapping. Maya is a little tricky. Really just trying to make it a good as I can.

Maya 3D Modeling Interior Space Lighting

Adding lights to the scene. The orange lights are to resemble lit torches. May modeling some torches in later. I tried to give the space a very aerie, creepy feeling. I've been getting inspiration from some  of the newer indie horror games that have been released in recent years.

Staring to apply simple textures to the floor and walls.

Maya 3D Modeling Interior Space

Creating an interior space. This space will include basic texture work and lighting within the Maya software. I decided to go with a confined hallway. I've been playing a bit of Chivalry Medieval Warfare so I got dungeon-type spaces in mind.

Maya 3D Modeling

Working on a city environment. Trying to convey depth with using simple blocks and adding small details using the various tools Maya has.

Final Image with art assets.

Here is the foundation for all the art assets place in JS. To save on time I didn't place all the duplicate assets into the world. Also showing a small bit of sample code that makes up the image. Game Project Update: Level Design/Asset Design complete.

Here is what the visual portion of the game project looks like. A simple game that requires the player to search for four keys throughout the level. One key unlocks a door to another key, in which that key then unlocks another door and so on. The player is to then use a code on a piece of paper and enter a four digit number on a keypad to unlock the room where the 4th and final key is located. Once the 4th key has been found, the player can then exit the level through the door at the end of the hallway to end the game.
